Ouroboros is an ancient symbol of a serpent eating its own tail and represents self-reflection, endless cycles, wholeness, unity, creation and destruction, eternal return, and the idea that the end is the begining. The symbol orignated in ancient Egypt, with the earliest known depiction in Tutankhamun's tomb in 14th Century BCE. This piece is constructed with Ouroboros around a central portal to places unknown.

Ouroboros Portal utilizes floating mounting brackets, which creates a shadowing effect that changes based on the direction and intensity of surrounding lights.
