Ouroboros Portal Steel Sculpture

Ouroboros Portal is a 16" x 15" sculpture by Matt DiBattista constructed of 1/2" x 1/8" steel flat bar. Ouroboros is an ancient symbol of a serpent eating its own tail and represents self-reflection, endless cycles, wholeness, unity, creation and destruction, eternal return, and the idea that the end is the begining. The symbol orignated in ancient Egypt, with the earliest known depiction in Tutankhamun's tomb in 14th Century BCE.
