Inspired by paths of integration, Ascend is based on a Golden Ratio pyramid akin to Giza. Use of this ratio by the Egyptians is said to suggest an advanced ancient knowledge of mathematics and geometry beyond simple function. Golden Ratio pyramids signify connections to cosmic harmony, natural beauty and divine order. Ascend's rising circles signify two unintegrated entites rising through the various phases of imperfect inegration until they reach their final, complete integration. 

Ascend utilizes floating mounting brackets, which creates a shadowing effect that changes based on the direction and intensity of surrounding lights.
